Nestled on the serene west coast of Meganisi, the captivating paradise island in the Ionian Sea, Villa Platina stands as a testament to the island’s unspoiled beauty and tranquility. Positioned just a stone’s throw away from the crystalline waters, this exquisite villa, one of two contemporary properties with direct beach access, offers an unparalleled retreat for travelers seeking the epitome of relaxation and natural beauty.
Villa Platina shares this idyllic location with its neighboring counterpart, Villa Asimi. However, it stands slightly closer to the sea, offering mesmerizing views across the water that are nothing short of enchanting.
The villa’s first-floor living area is a haven of light and airiness, with a wall of glass leading out onto a balcony. Here, guests can bask in the colorful spectacle of the sun setting behind the majestic mountains of Lefkada, creating a mesmerizing panorama that paints the sky with hues of orange and gold.
To the rear of the villa, the pool terrace unfolds, providing ample space for alfresco lounging and dining. The charming pool wraps cleverly around the side of the house, offering an infinity-style view across the sea, where the horizon seamlessly merges with the azure waters, creating a breathtaking vista. A few steps below, a children’s pool with a delightful waterfall feature awaits, sure to delight younger guests and add a touch of playful charm to the villa’s ambiance.
Beneath this level, the ground floor terrace spans the width of the building, accessible from the two spacious en-suite bedrooms. This terrace becomes yet another inviting venue to sit and enjoy the villa’s heavenly location, offering uninterrupted views across the water. The sound of gentle waves lapping against the shore serves as a soothing melody, lulling guests into a state of relaxation and bliss.
A leisurely three-minute stroll leads to the blissfully unspoiled Agios Ioannis beach, a hidden gem where the golden sands meet the gentle lapping of the sea, inviting visitors to unwind and savor the simple pleasures of beachcombing and sunbathing. For those seeking culinary delights, a charming local taverna is conveniently located less than a five-minute drive away, offering a taste of authentic Greek cuisine and the island’s fresh seafood delicacies.
Venturing a bit further, approximately 15 minutes by car, guests will find the sleepy village of Spartochori. Here, a small selection of traditional bars and tavernas await, exuding a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Local shops offer everyday groceries and essentials, ensuring visitors have access to everything they might need during their stay.
Beyond Spartochori, the winding coastal road leads to the enchanting harbor in Vathy, the island’s main town. Here, an excellent choice of waterfront restaurants caters to all tastes, offering a delightful culinary journey amidst the charm of the harbor.
Meganisi, encompassing a mere 20 square kilometers, is a place that effortlessly lends itself to relaxation coupled with gentle exploration. The island’s peaceful and unspoiled way of life becomes apparent as soon as one arrives, offering a respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Travelers are never far away from another enticing turquoise bay, inviting them for a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters as they explore the island’s picturesque coastline.
Villa Platina, alongside its neighboring Villa Asimi, enjoys a truly beautiful and tranquil spot on Meganisi. Each villa has been thoughtfully designed to ensure its own identity while providing a good degree of privacy. When booked separately, the villas become perfect havens for couples and small families, offering intimate spaces to enjoy the island’s natural beauty.
