Villa Mikro Nisi is in a beautiful five bedroom villa set a few minutes walk down to the beach and with a scrumptious selection of eateries within a few minutes walk. The perfect family villa.
This is a place where whole days can disappear in dreamy decadence, enjoying the sense of flow from the villa to the pool and down to the sparkling Ionian Sea. The views are wide and wonderful, with tiny Mikro Nisi island in the foreground and the shadowy outlines of the Greek mainland and Kefalonia in the far distance.
Despite its impressive list of outdoor facilities (luxury day beds, a pergola, summer kitchen and several terraces) the villa feels rooted in Zakynthos tradition, with an architectural nod to the windmills that not so long ago ground flour for the island. The semi-circular design allows for glorious views, with four of the five bedrooms opening onto a terrace.
If you’re looking for a base for a mixed group, this house is hard to beat. There’s direct sea access at the bottom of the garden and tavernas within a short walk for those who just want to relax, plus boat hire for the more adventurous just a three-minute walk away. It may now be an Instagram cliché, but the famous Navagio beach is still an irresistible sight, and you can drive to the view point above it in around half an hour.
For a day out, the unspoilt, rugged interior of the north takes you slowly back in time, while Zakynthos Town to the south (25km) blends old and new, from the daily fish catch on the harbour to vibrant new cafes and restaurants for a taste of modern island life.
As from 1st April 2024, the Greek Envriomental tax will be paid for locally, in cash at 15E, per villa oer day.
Good to know: the sea access is via approximately 50 wooden steps plus a pool ladder into the water and therefore not suitable for those with limited mobility.
