From the gardens and beautiful large pool there are extraordinary panoramic views over the land bordering the villa out to sea over the adjacent Egadi islands. The villa boasts numerous spaces for guests to relax around the pool and a shaded terrace adjacent to the gardens with comfortable soft seating and a shaded dining area.
For the extensive and recently refurbished interiors, the owners have chosen to showcase the tradition of Sicilian ceramics and there are also some Sicilian tiles and unusual vintage pieces combined with modern lighting, beds and furniture. The villa has two very spacious double bedrooms, each with ample room for a cot. Three further double bedrooms are located one after the other in a different corner of the villa. All bedrooms have private or en suite facilities.
Enjoying lovely sunset views, the villa is set on the edge of Trapani’s saltpans, where salt has been extracted for many centuries. This is also a resting place for many birds, particularly flamingos, on migration from and to Africa. Villa del Sale is only a short drive away from the beach of Marausa Lido and the historic towns of Trapani and Marsala. Among other places well worth a visit are also the medieval village of Erice, the temples of Segesta and Selinunte and the Egadi islands.
