Villa Da Vinci: A Historic Tuscan Retreat in the Heart of Chianti

Villa Da Vinci, a stunning manor house with a history dating back to the 11th century, is located in the heart of the renowned Chianti Classico wine region. Originally serving as a watchtower, it once overlooked the contested territories between Florence and Siena. Now, nearly a thousand years later, this magnificent property retains its prime location, offering guests an unforgettable experience with easy access to the art cities of Florence, Siena, and Pisa.

A Storied Past and Timeless Charm

Surrounded by gently rolling hills, olive groves, and vineyards, the villa offers sweeping views that stretch as far as the eye can see. The landscape is a patchwork of lush green fields, punctuated by terracotta hilltop villages and picturesque “white roads” that beckon visitors to explore the region. Whether you’re lounging by the pool or enjoying a glass of Chianti, the stunning vistas provide the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway.

Spacious Accommodation for Families and Groups

Villa Da Vinci is designed to accommodate large groups or families, making it an ideal venue for reunions, special events, or extended stays. The villa features six elegant bedrooms, each offering ample space and comfort for guests. The layout of the house ensures privacy and tranquility, with common areas that encourage socializing and relaxation. The property’s private pool invites guests to unwind while taking in the surrounding panoramic views.

Villa Da Vinci is ideally located for exploring the renowned Chianti Classico wine region. Only 5km from Greve in Chianti, a historic market town, the villa provides easy access to some of Tuscany’s best vineyards and wine-tasting opportunities. Greve is also home to the largest wine fair in Chianti, held every September, making it a popular destination for wine lovers. In addition to vineyard visits, the region offers a range of activities, including hiking in the Monte San Michele Natural Park, where visitors can enjoy breathtaking views and discover the natural beauty of the area.

The nearby village of Lamole, located just 7km from Villa Da Vinci, offers a peaceful retreat with a bar, restaurant, and grocery store for all your essentials. From July to September, Lamole hosts weekly classical concerts in its charming Romanesque church, offering a cultural experience amid stunning views and cool summer breezes. Many visitors also come to Lamole simply to take in the spectacular panoramas and relax in the tranquil surroundings.

Panzano, another nearby village, is known for its vibrant Sunday market and exceptional restaurants. The internationally renowned butcher Dario Cecchini owns several of these restaurants, offering guests a taste of world-famous Tuscan meats and traditional dishes. Exploring the local markets and indulging in delicious regional cuisine are just a few of the many pleasures that await guests staying at Villa Da Vinci.
