La Tenuta House is a stunning family abode set in over 5 hectares of grounds with a beautiful 13 metre swimming pool meticulously, well kept lawn gardens and just a short drive to the local village of Polignano a Mare – simply beautiful.
The immaculate 9-bedroom villa offers tranquility and seclusion amidst its own 5-hectare private estate, with all the space and comfort you could wish for. A vast sea-facing terrace stretches the length of the house, bordered by pretty lavender and plumbago and leading to a huge expanse of lawn, great for little ones to let off steam and big enough for an informal game of rounders or football if the mood dictates.
Beyond the lawn, the 13-metre pool enjoys the same enticing views of the coast, and the surrounding terrace is made for relaxation, with plenty of loungers and a lovely shaded area for sitting out with a drink or a bite to eat. There’s even a fridge and a Nespresso machine here, making pool-side living a breeze.
The villa interiors are spacious, stylishly furnished and supremely comfortable, with beautiful wall art and bespoke touches reflecting the owner’s impeccable taste and eye for detail. The spacious living and dining areas include a stunning glass-walled reception room overlooking the main terrace, formal gardens and sea beyond, while to the rear of the house, the well-equipped kitchen opens onto another terrace with outdoor eating area and further summer kitchen, complete with barbecue and pizza oven.
The layout of La Tenuta is particularly appealing and the bedrooms are cleverly arranged to allow the villa to adapt effortlessly to the differing needs of extended families or groups of friends travelling together. All bedrooms are en-suite and can be accessed independently from the outside, but three of the ground floor bedrooms have sofa beds and interconnect with a neighbouring double; perfect for those travelling with children but perfectly adaptable to create large suites for smaller groups seeking the luxury of space.
The first-floor is accessed via an external terrace and offers a luxurious self-contained space with private roof terrace, kitchenette and two bedrooms – or a double bedroom with separate living room if preferred.
There are a fantastic array of shops, bars and excellent restaurants a ten-minute drive away in Polignano a Mare and there’s a popular beach here, nestled beneath the spectacular cliffs that support the Old Town high above. The fashionable beach clubs of Capitolo are also easily reached within 20-minutes’ drive of La Tenuta and if you’re keen to explore inland too, the fascinating town of Conversano is home to a Michelin-starred restaurant and a wealth of history dating back to the Iron Age.
But we suspect you’ll find it very difficult to leave La Tenuta. For children, it is a place to play amongst the olive groves and enjoy life’s simple pleasures; for adults, it is a place to put your feet up in luxurious surroundings and enjoy good food, good company and a view that leaves you feeling on top of the world.
